Volunteer Opportunities

VOF offers a wide range of opportunities for volunteers. Training will be provided to equip volunteers to do their jobs. Below are some of the ongoing opportunities we have available. Click on any activity to see a detailed description.

Conservation Easement Monitoring
Perform conservation easement monitoring from public areas.

Field Assistance
Provide field assistance to VOF staff as they perform site visits of properties in conservation easement.

Land Management Assistance
Assist with management activities on properties owned by VOF.

Courthouse Research
Conduct record research at courthouse clerk offices throughout the Commonwealth and provide VOF staff with needed documents.

Office Assistance
Provide assistance to VOF staff by filing, scanning, copying, and performing other light office duties.

Exhibit Staffing / Event Assistance
Assist VOF staff in set up, take down, and staffing of various exhibits at shows, fairs, and other events.

Communications Assistance
Assist our communications office with publications and media relations activities, such as writing, photography, and graphic design.
